Howth Head

They say Howth is for Health & Heather and a walk up Howth Head never fails to freshen the mind. This is probably local Dubliners favourite spot to take in fresh sea air and Little Gem highly recommends a full trek around the peninsula.

Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens are located just 3 km from the centre of Dublin. A walk through the gardens is a peace filled and tranquil city experience. You will find yourself wandering through sculpted gardens that are home to over 20,000 living plants and many millions of dried plant specimens. The gardens also house the National Herbarium, some of Dublin Cities best sculptures and magnificent wrought iron glasshouses. An oasis in the soul of the city.

The park covers over 1,700 acres of grasslands, forest, rivers and lakes and boasts a wide range of animal and flora life. Another Gem in the heart of Dublin City is the brilliant Chester Beatty Library. The library, which originally consisted solely of the collections of Sir Alfred Chester Beatty, a mining magnate is now home to one of the world’s most important collection of documents, manuscripts and books relating to the world’s main religions.
