Start with gathering stories, memories and documents from family members and your journey has begun. These can act as a foundation for your ancestry journey and can be valuable to your Tour Planner, Genealogist and Driver Guide.

Your Personal Private Tour Planner

You will be assigned a dedicated, private tour planner to help craft your Irish experience. Their role will include...

- Your Little Gem dedicated point of contact with the planning of your tour from initial contact through to follow up.

- Crafting & Customising your private tour itinerary.

- Suggesting a Professional Genealogist to work with based on the information you provide.

- Based on your own and the genealogists findings your private tour planner will customise your tour with an ancestry trail where possible.

- Answer any queries you may have.

- Office support during your tour

- Their findings will be presented to Little Gem and your private tour planner will attempt to include an ancestry trail on your private tour.

- Using the information provided to them they will help you follow the footsteps of your Irish ancestors on the road.

Guests Own Research adopted into Itinerary by your dedicated,
Little Gem Tour Planner & Driver Guide

- Ancestry details are provided by the guest from their own research.

- Your Little Gem Private Tour Planner incorporates this provided information into the tour itinerary where possible as ancestry trails.

- Your driver guide incorporates these ancestry trails into their tour and in some instances may add more details and background to the provided research whilst on the road.

* The cost of this option is as per your Little Gem Tour itinerary costing.

** All these elements are included in a Little Gem Tour.

OPTION 2

Guests work directly with a recommended
Professional Geneaologist

- Your private tour planner will suggest a suitable Professional Genealogist based on the initial information provided by the guest.

- The guest and the professional genealogist will work together on researching the ancestry.

- Upon completion the professional genealogist will present their findings directly to the guest.

- Your Little Gem Private Tour Planner incorporates this provided information into the tour itinerary where possible as ancestry trails.

- Your driver guide incorporates these ancestry trails into their tour and in some instances may add more details and background to the provided research whilst on the road.

* The cost of this option is additional for the service of the Professional Geneaologist

** The genealogy research is settled directly between the Guest and Independent Geneaologist.

What are the steps?

The steps in crafting your
Ancestry Tour of Ireland

1. Contact Little Gem Tours on our

Contact Form.

- Fill out our contact form and ensure to mention that you are interested in learning more about our ancestry tours.

- At this stage we understand that guests may have little or a lot of information on their genealogy. Just provide as much information as possible.

- You will be assigned your own dedicated, Little Gem Private Tour Planner who will provide an initial itinerary proposal based on your your main requests and any ancestry information you may have provided.

2. Initial Itinerary Proposal from your personal,

Little Gem Private Tour Planner.

- Your initial itinerary proposal will be based on your main tour interests and can act as a foundation from which you can customise your tour.

- At this stage any ancestry elements already provided may be added to your itinerary depending on your requested route.

- You will be provided with a suggested Geneaology Expert carefully selected by your private tour planner based on the information provided.

3. Initial Ancestry Consultation with your

Selected Genealogy Expert

- Your genealogy expert will contact you to arrange a time for your initial consultation.

- If you are happy to proceed, from this point your geneaology research will be carried out by your personal geneaology expert.

4. Continue planning with your

Personal, Private Tour planner.

- Your tour planning and customisation will continue with your Little Gem Private Tour Planner parallel to the work carried out by your Selected Geneaology Expert.

5. Adoption of information gathered into

Your Customised Tour Itinerary

- Upon completion of your genealogy research your private tour planner will incorporate ancestry trails into your itinerary where possible.

6. Your Driver Guide brings your

Ancestry Alive on the Road

- Your driver guide on the road will bring your ancestry trail alive with local history, stories, culture and heritage.

Little Gem Tour recommends independent professional genealogists based on information provided by the guest. We cannot guarantee that the genealogist will be the exact fit for each individual case.

Little Gem Tours do not employee the recommended independent genealogists, therefore they work completely independently of Little Gem.

The contractual relationship for genealogical services will be directly between the guest and the independent genealogist.

Genealogy research can be complex and unpredictable. There are absolutely no guarantees of specific discoveries. Genealogists strive for results however there's no guarantee of finding specific ancestors, documents, or overcoming "brick walls."

Research timelines can vary significantly depending on the complexity of the request, availability of records, and the specific genealogist's workload.

The initial cost estimates from genealogists are often based on initial assessments and that final costs may vary depending on the depth of research required.
