Day 1 

Collection from Airport (Dublin or Shannon)

& 4 Hour Dublin orientation tour Including Howth

We will greet you with a smaile at arrivals in Dubin Airport â€‹and from here make our way only 20 minutes to the fresh, breezy coatal village of Howth. Here you have the opportunity to stretch the legs and take some fresh air on a short coastal walk down from Howth head. After this you will have time to enjoy some famous Howth seafood before we make our way to your hotel for your first night in the Emerald Isle.

Day 2

Dublin City Day Tour

Today we will explore the Fair City of Dublin with a guided drive of the wonderful capital of Ireland. We will begin the day by greeting you at your hotel.  We will then take a historical driving tour of the main points of interest of the city, including Trinity College, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and Christ Church Cathedral. You will have the option of taking a tour inside some of Dublin City’s most famous attractions including Kilmainham Gaol and the Book of Kells and many more. You will end your day dropped off at your hotel in the heart of Dublin City.

Day 3
Dublin City to Belfast City 
via the Boyne Valley

Today we will begin our adventure North. Our first stop will be at one of the world’s most important prehistoric sites - the UNESCO heritage site, Newgrange. Standing over 5,000 years old, this passage tomb not only predates Stonehenge but also the Great Pyramids of Egypt. Our tour will take you inside this ancient tomb for a recreation of the lightshow on the winter solstice when the sun shines through lighting up the inner chamber of the tomb. we will also have the option of enjoying the other treats that The Boyne Valley has to offer like The Hill of Slane.  Afterwards we will go through the 'Gap of the North' and across the border into Northern Ireland where we will visit the quaint town of Hillsborough to wander around the official royal residence of the Monarchy.  A short drive from here will see us arrive into the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast City, where we will complete our day with a comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

Day 4
Exploring Belfast City

This morning we will rise early to visit the Titanic Belfast Exhibition and learn about the heroic shipbuilders of Belfast in the 19th century. After this you will be taken by a Belfast local for a political Black Cab Taxi Tour. This fascinating tour is a vital way of understanding Northern Ireland and its turbulent history. It will show you the peace wall and murals that are a poignant memorial to Northern Ireland's history.  We will then embark on a driving tour of the city which will introduce you to the city’s other gems such as the fascinating, yet haunting prison cells of the Crumlin Road Gaol, the restored Victorian Grand Opera House and the beautiful Belfast botanical gardens. We will end the day with a drive along the coast to the spectacular Carrickfergus Castle which cast a watchful eye over Belfast Lough.  We will return to our hotel for our second nights stay in this vibrant city.

Day 5
Belfast City to Derry City
via the Causeway Coast

Today we will continue our journey north, this time taking the stunning north-east coastal drive through parts of the nine Glens of Antrim where the mountains meet the sea. This drive offers spectacular views across to our neighbours Scotland on a clear day and through many quaint towns and villages along the way. Your journey will take you into the queen of the glens - Glenariff where you will take a short walk to enjoy the forest and waterfall. Our next retreat is the beautiful fishing harbour of Ballintoy before journeying on to the world famous Giant's Causeway, where geology meets mythology. Here you will have plenty of time to enjoy the stones and learn all the myths of Fionn MacCumhaill.  A short drive further west will see us arrive at the old Bushmills Distillery that sits on the River Bush. You will have the option of touring the distillery where you will learn all about the process that makes this whiskey so special and get a chance to sample the local stock.  To end the day  we will drive along the coast, stopping at the crumbling ruins of the incredible Dunluce Castle before making our way to the fascinating walled city of Derry for your overnight within the medieval walls.

Day 6
Derry City to Donegal
via Glenveagh National Park

Today we will rise to enjoy a morning walking tour of Derry City, the last walled city in Europe.  After which we will head west again across the border into the wild and rugged county of Donegal. This beautiful county hosts some of the most beautiful and spectacular scenery on all of the island. Here we will find, Grianan an Aileach, a magnificent stone fort which commands superb views across Lough Swilly and the surrounding mountainous countryside.  We will drive past the looming Mount Errigal as we make our way into Glenveagh National Park, where we can take scenic walks and visit the late 19th century Glenveagh Castle.  We will then make our way south through the breathtaking country scenery and overnight in the Donegal town.

Derry to Donegal Route

Day 7
Donegal to Rural Mayo
via Slieve League & Sligo

We will start the morning driving out to the wilds of Donegal where we will arrive at one of the wonders of Ireland - Slieve League Cliffs. Standing nearly 3 times the height of the Cliffs of Moher these majestic cliffs are a highlight of the northwest coast. We will then continue on to County Sligo where we will visit the grave of the famous poet W.B. Yeats which lies in a small cemetery at the foot of the majestic Benbulben mountain.  Next we will take a moderate hill walk to the stunning Knocknarea to pay our respects at the 6,000 year old tomb of Queen Maebh. The top of Knocknarea offers some of the best panoramic scenery on the island. We will then continue off the beaten path and away from the crowds to your overnight in the boutique private farm cottage Ireland West Farm Stay. Here you will meet the locals of the village of Carracastle and enjoy traditional music by the fireside in the cottage.  This is truly a unique glance into Ireland’s past.

Donegal to Rural Mayo

Day 8
An Irish Heritage Experience day
in the Heart of Rural Mayo

Today is a day meeting the locals in the farming village of Carracastle. First will be your host, local farmer and historian Eddie Joe Dooney. In his old farmhouse he will explain and showcase rural Ireland’s traditions, techniques, superstitions & folklore including turf cutting demonstrations bog walk & lots more. This is truly a unique glance into Ireland’s past. After this we will meet the local blacksmith Pat Strahan who will provide you with a demonstration of the ancient art of blacksmithing and will reveal the secrets behind the old Irish amulet called the 9 Irons. Finally we will meet The Sheepman - Michael who will provide a demonstration of his beloved working sheepdogs. You will also meet the sheep and learn all there is to know about sheep farming in Ireland. At the end of the day you will take a bog walk through Eddie Joes bog to find the lost village taking in the fresh rural air along the way. This is a day off the beaten track and away from the tourist crowds.

Day 9
Rural Mayo to County Galway
via The Connemara Region

Today we will rise early to explore The Wild Atlantic Way. This day takes us from Mayo into the hills of the Connemara Region. This remote and desolate environment showcases some of the most dramatic scenery on the island with its rolling hills, stone walls, rivers & lakes. We will take a drive through the stunning Joyce Country under the shadow of the Connemara Hills. Here is a great chance to learn some of Ireland's oldest traditions and meet the people whilst enjoying the stunning mountainous backdrops. Deep within the Mountains of Connemara we will meet Joe Joyce, a 3rd generation sheep farmer for a demonstration of the skills of his sheepdogs before visiting the romantic floating village of Cong. Here you can walk the lakes and enjoy the ancient Cong Abbey and quaint village made famous by the Quiet Man. We will then finish the day with a drive into the bohemian heart of Ireland - the thriving Galway City.

Day 10
Galway to Clare
via The Cliffs of Moher & The Burren

Today we will continue our journey along the WIld Atlantic Way. We will stop at the colorful fishing village of Kinvara and visit Dunguaire Castle, a well-kept defensive structure that sits on the crook of the bay.  We will then discover our third national park of Ireland - The Burren Geopark, a karst limestone plateau that reaches out to the sea.  Here we will walk the lunar landscape to the atlantic edge. We will also pass through some of Ireland’s prettiest villages where you will have plenty of opportunities to sample the local delicacies of chocolate, oysters and craft beers. We will then travel on to one of the wonders of Europe - The majestic Cliffs of Moher where we will enjoy beautiful cliff walks with views across to the famous wool-producing islands of Aran.  After the cliffs we offer a range of activities that include boat trips, horse riding or guided walks around the County Clare area. We will then end our day with a drive along the Wild Atlantic Way to your overnight stay along the clare coast.

Day 11
Clare to The Dingle Peninsula
via The Wild Atlantic Way

Today we will make our way south along the Wild Atlantic Way. Our journey will take us by ferry across the mouth of the River Shannon and into the Kingdom of Kerry. A standout drive of the trip will be the Connors Pass route with stunning views across the valley and out to the Atlantic Ocean. Of course throughout the day we will take in hidden gems such as The Blennerville Windmill, Tralee Town and Listowel. Our day will end when we arrive into the world famous Dingle town. Here you can try some of the delicious seafood that makes Dingle one of the outstanding foodie destinations in Ireland before retiring for your first night stay in this quaint Dingle town.

Day 12
Exploring The Dingle Peninsula
& The Slea Head Drive

Today we will continue our journey around the incredible Dingle Peninsula. We will explore the area with a stunning coastal drive around Slea Head, along the way encountering a number of archaeological sites such as beehive huts, ring forts, ogham stones and lots more. This is a day of incredible stonework masterfully created by our ancestors.  There are also plenty of options for activities including brewery’s, whiskey distilleries, ancient archaeological sites and a boat trip to meet the famous resident Kerry dolphin - Fungi. Being in the bay since 1983 he is everyone's favourite along the Wild Atlantic Way. After exploring Dingle Town with it’s many craft galleries and excellent eateries we will retire to our hotel for our second night stay in Dingle town.

The Slea Head Loop Drive

Day 13
Dingle to Kinsale Town
via The Killarney National Park

This day of exploring will bring us across the highlights of the Ring of Kerry including Molls Gap and Ladies View stopping along the way at Inch Strand where you can enjoy one of Ireland’s best beaches . We will then enjoy a spectacular stop at the Killarney National Park where you can walk the lakes or take a horse and cart trip around the park. You will also enjoy some beautiful heritage sites such as Muckross House, Muckross Abbey and lots more. We will then continue our journey into the rebel county of Cork. Our journey will end in Kinsale Town where you can take in the atmosphere of one of Ireland’s most charming towns.

Day 14
West Cork Adventure

Today is all about stunning scenery and delectable cuisine as we journey into West Cork. We will start the day with a fascinating historical walking tour of Kinsale Town where you will learn the important maritime past of the southwest of Ireland. We will then take a trip onto the the Beara Peninsula, a place fast becoming known for its homegrown cuisine and in particular its sumptuous cheeses.  Our stops in the colourful villages include Clonakilty and along the way will offer you the perfect opportunity to sample the local stock.  There are ample choice of activities on this stretch including traditional farm visits, heritage sites such as stone ring circles and abbeys and some of the finest beaches Ireland has to offer.  We will arrive back in the evening at the picturesque town of Kinsale where we will spend the night with a host of bars and live music to entertain all.

Day 15
Kinsale to Dublin City
via Ireland's Ancient East

We will begin our day by exploring the impressive Charles fort, a star-shaped defensive structure which clings to the water’s edge near Kinsale.  We will continue our journey with a short drive into Cork City where we will introduce you to the city’s main attractions such as the English Market, Shandon Bells Tower and Cork Opera House.  You will then have the option to tour Cork City Jail and learn what it was like to be imprisoned here from the time of pre-famine right up until the formation of our free state or visit the quaint village of Blarney.  We will then drive through the magical ancient east midlands with a stop at the imposing Rock of Cashel, a collection of ecclesiastical structures that stand over the surrounding countryside.  Finally, we will make our way back to Dublin City to end the tour, giving you all the information and advice you need to enjoy our bustling capital city.
